Bill attended the University of Colorado at Boulder on the prestigious Eisenhower- Evans Scholarship and graduated with a bachelor's degree in finance. His advertising career started on the McDonald's account at DDB Needham Worldwide. From there he earned account management assignments for United Artists Entertainment, Sir Speedy Printing and Safeway. Bill then formed Pierson Hawkins Advertising, Inc., which attracted leading marketers like US WEST, MCI, Coca-Cola, Kodak, Giant Bicycles and Norwest Bank. In July of 2001, Bill joined his long-time advertising agency friend and peer Tim Clarke, and is currently President and Principal of Clarke Advertising and Public Relations. Bill currently serves as Governor of the Florida Council of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA). He is also a member of the board of directors of the PGA Tour Saturday Series. Bill has served as Executive Chairman of Colorado UpLIFT and on board of director's for the Foundation for Urban Youth. During his leisure time, Bill enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife, Amy, and their two daughters, Whitney and Haley.
