Kathy has played competitive golf for most of her life. She first served as Vice President of her ladies club at age 17 at Soaring Eagles Golf Club in New York. She was honored as Most Valuable Player her junior year and served as captain her senior year on the women’s golf team at Wake Forest University. She was an assistant coach of the women’s golf program at Indiana University in 1979, while in graduate school. Kathy started the women’s golf program at North Carolina State University in 1980, and the Mason-Dixon Women’s Golf Association.
Since moving to Colorado, Kathy has served as league coordinator of the Greater Denver Golf A-Team Association and the A-Team Challenge League of Denver. Kathy has served as a member of the Advisory Board of Directors, Greens Committee, president of the Ladies Club, tournament director and A-Team captain at Hiwan Golf Club. She was the tournament director for the 2007 AJGA Rolex Girl’s Junior Championship, held at Hiwan Golf Club. Kathy is currently a member of the USGA Women’s Mid-Amateur Committee. Kathy was the CWGA Senior Women’s Player of the Year in 2006 and 2008, and is a member of the Elmira Sports Hall of Fame in New York. She taught Sport Management at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
