Ed Timmins

Ed graduated with honors from Harvard University in 1977, where he was a Harvard National Scholar, a member of the Harvard Crew team, the Harvard Varsity Club, the Harvard Crimson, and Phillips Brooks House. Ed then went onto the University of Michigan where he received his J.D. and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1980. While at Michigan he served as senior editor of the Michigan Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Ed was also President of the International Law Society and the editor of the Yearbook of International Legal Studies. Ed began his career as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard D. Cudahy of the United States Court of Appeals, for the Seventh Circuit, and then practiced as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, and as an Assistant United States Attorney and Special Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Colorado. During Ed's tenure he received the U.S. Department of Justice Special Achievement Award, the United States Attorney General Commendation, and the United States Attorney Distinguished Service Award. Ed is the founder and attorney with the Denver, Colorado law firm of Timmins LLC. Ed's home course is Denver Country Club.
