The CGA Western Championship at Battlement Mesa Golf Club in Parachute, Colorado, showcased three days of competition, with 54 holes of individual stroke play. After 36 holes, the field was cut to the low 40% and ties in each division, heightening the stakes as the remaining players battled for the top spots.

Open Division

Jamie Roberts (Walking Stick Golf Course) showcased remarkable consistency and skill over the first two days of the 2024 CGA Western Championship, firing back-to-back 6-under-par rounds. His stellar performance secured him a commanding six-stroke lead heading into the final day. Despite the pressure, Roberts remained composed, closing out the tournament with a 2-under-par 70 in the final round. This victory marks Jamie’s first CGA Championship win. Roberts finished the tournament 14-under-par, with all three rounds under par (66, 66, 70).

Senior division

Chris Carlson (The Links GC Pro Shop) entered the final day of the CGA Western Championship with a narrow, two-stroke lead, closely followed by Richard Bradsby (Lakewood Country Club). However, it was Bradsby who surged ahead in the Senior Division, ultimately clinching the title by a single stroke (76, 72, 75). This win adds to Bradsby’s record, having previously won the 2019 CGA Western Championship competing in the Open Division.
