Becca Huffer, a regular fixture on the leaderboard at GVR, heads field for 30th Inspirato Colorado Women’s Open, where $250,000 purse will be on the line

Becca Huffer of Monument, who owns two victories and four runner-up finishes — including one last year — in the Inspirato Colorado Women’s Open, will be among those in the field when 30th annual CWO is contested Wednesday through Friday at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club in northeast Denver.
Huffer owns conditional status on the LPGA Tour this year and is a regular on the Epson Tour.
Also scheduled to tee it up at GVR this week is Lauren Lehigh of Loveland, who will make her pro debut after advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2022 U.S. Women’s Amateur and the 2024 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball (the latter with younger sister Katelyn, who’s also playing this week).
Once again this year, a $250,000 purse — of which $100k goes to the low pro — will be up for grabs, making the CWO the head of the pack when it comes to women’s state and regional tournaments.
The size of the field for the Women’s Open — as well as the Inspirato Colorado Open — has been reduced this year from 156 to 144 in hopes of improving pace of play in pre-cut rounds. The CWO, which features a pro-am all three days of the tournament, actually will have 136 players after recent withdrawals.
Also scheduled to compete in this week’s Colorado Women’s Open are three-time USGA national champion — and Colorado Golf Hall of Famer — Jill McGill; recent two-time state high school champions Logan Hale of Erie, Brenna Higgins of Centennial and Maddy Bante of Englewood; 2022 CWO low amateur Kelsey Webster; and two-time CGA Women’s Player of the Year Leigha Devine of Windsor.
Among the former champions in the field — in addition to Huffer (winner in 2013 and ’19) — are Haylee Harford (2023) and Clariss Guce (2022). Gerina Mendoza, who’s represented the U.S. in three Solheim Cups, is also teeing it up.
