5th CGA Women’s Mid-Amateur stroke play championship
The 77th Women’s and 5th Women’s Mid-Amateur Stroke Play Championships hosted by The Olde Course at Loveland. features a three day, 54-hole individual stroke play format with three divisions.
Day 2:
Championship Division
Madeline Bante drops to a tie for second place alongside Emma Bryant, who moved up the leaderboard with an impressive one-under round. Meanwhile, Ashley Kozlowski played brilliantly, shooting four under par to take the lead after Day 2.
Mid-Amateur Division
Kristine Franklin keeps her momentum from round 1, maintaining her lead in round 2. However, the competition heats up as Shannon Lubar shoots an impressive even par, tying with Kristine at the top of the leaderboard.
Flighted Division
Alison O’Connor (Collindale WGA) continues to shine in the tournament, staying in the lead after round 2 with a score of 77. Meanwhile, Rochelle Tisdale (West Woods WGA 18) is proving unstoppable in the net portion, leading for the second consecutive day with a net score of 71.
Day 1:
Championship division
The State Women’s Stroke Play Champion will be determined from this division. The champion will earn an exemption into the 2024 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship.
The Championship Division features a competitive field of elite college golfers and committed junior players. Madeline Bante, a standout CGA junior committed to the University of Notre Dame Women’s Golf team, leads the championship division after Round 1, finishing three under par with a score of 69.
MId-amateur Division
All players within the division compete against each other for Gross prizes. The State Women’s Mid-Amateur Stroke Play Champion will be awarded from this division.
Kristine Franklin (Ranch Country Club LGA), a past champion, takes the lead in the Mid-Amateur Division, shooting even par. Franklin has been on a winning streak in 2024, securing victories in the Mashie and Women’s Senior Match Play Championships.
Flighted Division
Competitors are pre-flighted by playing handicap.
Alison O’Connor (Collindale WGA) had the low score in the Flighted Division after Day 1.
Rochelle Tisdale (West Woods WGA 18) was the net leader in the Flighted Division.
