21 more Coloradans qualify for Optimist International Junior Golf

The final set of Colorado-based qualifying tournaments for the Optimist International Junior Golf Championship were held Friday at Overland Park Golf Course in Denver, with 21 more Coloradans earning spots in next month’s events in Miami.
That’s added to the 38 Colorado junior golfers who previously qualified for the Optimist:
The medalists on Friday at Overland Park were Olivia Steen of Fort Collins (71 in girls 15-18), Isabella Eide of Highlands Ranch (75 in girls 13-14) and Sophia Lee of Centennial (78 in girls 10-12.
The Optimist Junior tournaments are held in three phases in July in Miami:
— July 14-19: Boys 10-11 and 12-13 and girls 10-12
— July 19-24: Boys 14-15 and girls 13-14
— July 24-29: Boys 16-18 and girls 15-18
