Coloradan Chris DiMarco records best PGA Tour Champions finish since 2020 — and it comes at a senior major; Aspen’s Liselotte Neumann posts top-10 in LPGA Senior Championship

Denver-area resident Chris DiMarco cost himself a few spots on the leaderboard with a final-hole double bogey, but the Denver-area resident still posted his first top-10 finish in almost four years on PGA Tour Champions.
And it came at a senior major.
DiMarco tied for sixth on Sunday at the KitchenAir Senior PGA Championship, recording the fifth top-10 of his Champions career, which dates back to 2018.
The three-time PGA Tour winner, who’s still looking for his first Champions victory, posted rounds of 68-65-71-69 for an 11-under-par total in Benton Harbor, Mich. DiMarco ended up six strokes behind champion Richard Bland, who closed with a 63.
DiMarco, the runner-up to Tiger Woods at the 2005 Masters, recorded his best Champions finish — a fourth place — at the Ally Challenge in August 2020. Sunday marked his second top-10 in a senior major as he placed sixth in the 2019 U.S. Senior Open.
The Senior PGA showing was worth $107,650 to DiMarco, who moved to the Denver area in 2018.

Also this weekend, on Saturday, part-time Aspen resident Liselotte Neumann earned a sixth-place finish in the LPGA Senior Championship in Hurricane, Utah. Neumann carded scores of 73-70-75 for a 2-over-par total, which left her 12 strokes behind winner Angela Stanford. Neumann earned $14,023. SCORES
