Dream Come True

Twin brothers and former CU golfers Jeremy and Yannik Paul will team up next week at PGA Tour’s Zurich Classic of New Orleans

By Gary Baines – 4/18/2025

For more than a decade, twin brothers Jeremy and Yannik Paul have spoken publicly about their desire to compete on the PGA Tour — preferably together.

Next week, the two former University of Colorado golfers, now 31, will do just that. And they’ll do it literally side by side.

On Friday, the PGA Tour announced the field for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, which starts on Thursday, and among the 80 pairs for the team event are the twins from Germany.

Jeremy Paul is a rookie on the PGA Tour and made his debut on golf’s top circuit in January. He’s made six cuts in his first 10 PGA Tour events — including this weekend in the Dominican Republic — with a best finish of 16th place. Yannik Paul is a regular on the DP World Tour who is in the top 10 going into this weekend at the Volvo China Open. He has one DP World Tour victory to his credit. He’ll compete as a sponsor exemption in the Zurich Classic.

Yannik Paul sits No. 240 in the World Golf Rankings, while Jeremy is 309th.

Other teams with strong Colorado connections in the field for the Zurich Classic are Denver native Wyndham Clark (with Taylor Moore), Denver native Mark Hubbard (with Ryan Brehm), Denver-area resident Martin Laird (with Bill Haas), and Fort Collins resident Sam Saunders (with Eric Cole). Saunders, a grandson of Arnold Palmer and a largely retired tour player, is also a sponsor exemption for the event.

Hubbard and Brehm finished third last year at the Zurich Classic, which Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry won.
