Brenda Knott (Foothills LGA-18) and Marsha Heitzman (Metro Denver e-Club) are the 2023 CGA Women’s Brassie Overall Champions thanks to a 7-over-par gross 151 from the duo. The pair entered the second day having shot 4-over-par 76 on day one.

Karen Chase (Foothills LGA-18) and Kim Wells (Legacy Women’s Golf Association) finished second in the gross first flight, shooting eight-over-par 152.

Cindy Ortega (Foothills LGA-18) and Kathy Diehl (Broken Tee Women’s Saturday 18) finished at the top of the second flight after shooting 30-over-par 174.

As for the net title, Pam Cortez and Sue Knutson (Riverdale WGA) took home the first flight title after finishing seven-over-par net 137.

Liz Sanchez (South Suburban LGA 18) and Mary Jo Turner (Kennedy/Fitz Women’s Golf Assn.) are this year’s second flight winners after shooting a two-under-par net 142.

In this 4-ball stroke play tournament, two competitors play as partners, with each playing their own ball.

The lower of the partner’s scores is the team score for the hole and teams are pre-flighted according to combined playing handicap, counting both their gross and net play scores. Flight one featured eight teams, while flight two included nine.

Players experienced high temperatures during both days at Walking Stick Golf Course in Pueblo, with temperatures rising well into the 90s.
