Brothers Stick Together in Top 10

Former CU Buff Yannik Paul runner-up in Outlaw Tour event, while twin brother Jeremy places sixth; former CSU golfer Yates finishes ninth

It certainly wasn’t the first time the Paul twins have both posted top-10 finishes in the same tournament, nor will it be the last, in all likelihood.

But on Wednesday, Yannik and Jeremy Paul both placed in the top-10 for the second consecutive week on the Outlaw Tour.

The two former University of Colorado golfers did so last week at the Arrowhead Classic (fourth place for Yannik and seventh for Jeremy) and this week’s Legacy Shootout in Phoenix almost followed form.

Yannik Paul went 66-66 for a second-place showing, while Jeremy carded scores of 70-66 to tie for sixth. Nicolo Galletti of Phoenix (64-66 for a 12-under-par 130 total) claimed the title by two.

Jeremy Paul is now 9-for-10 in finishing in the top-10 on the Outlaw Tour in the 2019-20 season, while Yannik is 7-for-10.

In Wednesday’s final round, Jeremy Paul carded five bogeys in a bogey-free round, while Yannik did likewise.

Also recording a top-10 out of the 57-man field on Wednesday was former Colorado State University golfer Colton Yates, who tied for ninth place at 137 (67-70).
