CGA Team Interclub

WHAT IS IT?

Team Interclub gives CGA Member Clubs the chance to compete against one another. Clubs field teams of 8 to compete in a match play format against other clubs from around the state.

Clubs will compete in a 4-team round robin format throughout the early parts of the season. When the round robin format is complete, teams will then qualify for a 16 team, single elimination, playoff bracket.

GROUPS

A group is comprised of 4 teams. The CGA will need the enclosed group selection form signed by all four captains stating your intent to play in the same group. If you do not create your own group, you will be paired by the CGA.  Every effort will be made to group teams for regular season play within reasonable geographic distances.

TEAM ELIGIBILITY

Each club submitting an application must be a member of the Colorado Golf Association and must have access to at least one golf course. Each team entered is expected to field a team and compete as scheduled and in accordance with established CGA Team Interclub rules. If a club is entering two teams, a separate application must be submitted for each team.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

Players must be amateurs in good standing and must have an established Handicap Index with the club they wish to represent as of June 1, 2023 and through the Team Interclub season.  All players must be at least 18 years of age prior to the start of a match.  The low index (LI) limit for Team Interclub is 20.0 however; players with a higher LI will be allowed to play down to a 20.0 to become eligible.  Each player will use 100% of their lowest index of record for the last 12 months.

To be eligible for playoffs, you must have competed in at least one regular season match and have posted at least 3 scores to the GHIN system within the calendar year.
