CGA Super-Senior Match Play Championship Photos
The CGA Super-Senior Match Play Championship hosted by King’s Deer Golf Club concluded Thursday afternoon, with David Nelson crowned as the champion following four days of competitive senior pod and match play.
Battle of the David’s
David Nelson of Columbine Country Club is the 2024 CGA Super Senior Match Play Champion! He won the match 3&2, having previously been the runner-up in 2022. Nelson expressed excitement at playing among some of the best senior players and ultimately winning it all. His competitor in the final, David Delich, put up a strong battle throughout the round, but Nelson managed to hold his ground and secure the victory.
Semi-finals Success
In the semi-finals, David Nelson defeated Kent Moore 3&2, while David Delich took it to the 18th hole, winning 1 up against Mark Donahue. David Nelson and David Delich will go head-to-head Thursday afternoon to determine the champion of this year’s Super Senior Match Play tournament.

With the quarterfinal results, the semifinals are set for tomorrow morning. Top seed David Nelson (Columbine Country Club) will face 4x CGA Senior Match Play Champion and CGA Board Member Kent Moore (Cherry Hills Country Club), while David Delich (Broadmoor Golf Club) takes on Mark Donahue (Cherry Hills Country Club).
