Denver, February 7, 2024 – The Colorado Golf Association (CGA), in association with the United States Golf Association (USGA) is excited to announce new exemption opportunities into USGA championships. In addition to a revised qualifying structure, four different CGA state championships will serve as a direct pathway for talented golfers to secure a spot in select USGA championships.
The exemptions for the 2024 are as follows:
- 2023 CGA Amateur Championship
- Champion is exempt from local qualifying for the 2024 U.S. Amateur Championship.
- 2024 CGA Amateur Championship
- Champion will receive full exemption into the 2024 U.S. Amateur Championship.
- Top three finishers (and ties) in the 2024 CGA Amateur Championship will be exempt from local qualifying into the 2025 U.S. Amateur Championship.
- 2024 CGA Women’s Stroke Play Championship
- Champion will receive full exemption into the 2024 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship.
- 2024 CGA State Junior Championship
- Champions will receive full exemption into the 2024 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship and 2024 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship.

- 2024 CGA Amateur Championship: August 1-4, 2024 (Eisenhower Golf Course – Blue)
- 2024 CGA Women’s Stroke Play Championship: July 17-19, 2024 (Olde Course at Loveland)
- 2024 CGA State Junior Championship: June 23-27, 2024 (CommonGround Golf Course)
