Fall Fitness Finish 2.0

November 15 is always a big day for golf in Colorado, and this year was even more significant. Score posting season in Colorado ends on this date each year, but it also marked the end of the second annual Fall Fitness Finish, a competition between participating CGA members to see who can play the most rounds and walk the most steps between September 22, the first day of fall, and November 15.

Each week, scores posted by participants were pulled and converted to a step count based off whether they were registered as a walker, rider, or both. Additionally, prizes were awarded at random to participants posting scores to further incentivize members to play fall golf. In total, 837 9-hole rounds, 3,349 18-hole rounds, and 31,890,000 steps were walked throughout the competition!

Participation among members grew 18% from the inaugural year, and unlike last year, the top three finishers in each category walked away a grand prize winner. This year’s winners along with their prizes in each category are as follows:

Walkers

Walkers/Riders

Riders

We thank our partners for their donations of both the weekly and grand prizes, as well as our members for participating in another successful Fall Fitness Finish! Enjoy the next few months of winter golf!
