Scott Vincent’s career-best finish in Liv Golf gives Colorado resident a 7-figure payday and a guaranteed spot in Liv for 2024; Coloradan David Duval records his best showing on PGA Tour Champions

It was a big weekend for Colorado resident Scott Vincent — both for present and future considerations.
The Colorado Golf Club member posted his best individual finish ever in 20 starts on the Liv Golf circuit as he tied for third at the final individual event of the Liv season, the tournament north of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
Vincent posted rounds of 70-62-66 for a 12-under-par total, which left him two strokes behind champion Brooks Koepka.
The result was a seven-figure payday for Vincent, who earned $1.1 million.
But, longer term, the showing landed Vincent a guaranteed spot in the Liv Golf League for next year. It moved him from 31st to inside the top 24 in the season-long points standings, and that’s very important as those 24 are guaranteed Liv spots for next season. Vincent finished 22nd in the standings after this weekend’s strong performance.
“It’s been incredible,” Vincent told LivGolf.com. “I can’t tell you how many high-fives I just received from so many different people.”
Vincent, 31, made an eagle, 14 birdies and four bogeys over 54 holes in Saudi Arabia.
Sunday’s showing was the second top-10 finish for Vincent in his two seasons competing in Liv Golf. The native of Zimbabwe placed fourth in Singapore in late April.
Vincent originally landed a spot on Liv Golf by winning the International Series Order of Merit during the 2022 Asian Tour season.
Liv Golf concludes its 2023 season next week with a team championship in Miami.

— Elsewhere in tour golf for local players, Colorado resident David Duval posted the best finish of his PGA Tour Champions career on Sunday, tying for 11th place in the SAS Championship in Cary, N.C. With that, he qualifies for the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs, which begin next week with the Dominion Energy Charity Classic in Richmond, Va.
Duval, a former top-ranked player in the world, hadn’t placed better than 18th in his previous 35 starts on the Champions circuit.
But in North Carolina, the 51-year-old played his last six holes in 3 under par, making a 3-foot birdie on 18. He closed with a 1-under 71 to check in at 8 under, seven behind winner Rod Pampling.
With the top 72 on the season-long points least advancing to the playoffs, Duval came in 71st.
