Forey seeks third straight CGA super-senior title as Super-Senior Amateur set for Olde Course at Loveland

It may seem like the CGA Super-Senior Amateur Championship — previously known as the CGA Super-Senior Stroke Play — made its debut just yesterday.
Actually, this week will mark the eighth time the event has been contested. The Olde Course at Loveland will do the hosting this time around as the 36-hole scratch stroke-play tournament will be held Thursday and Friday.
The championship is limited to players 63 and older, with a masters division for contestants at least 73.
Sean Forey (pictured) of The Club at Rolling Hills will be attempting to win his third consecutive CGA super-senior “major” after capturing the 2018 title in this event and the 2019 CGA Super-Senior Match Play.
Also in the 47-golfer field are four other overall champions in this event — Gary Albrecht of CommonGround Golf Course (2017), Robert Polk of Colorado Golf Club (2015), Kary Kaltenbacher of Glenmoor Country Club (2014) and Robert Cloud of CommonGround (2013). Albrecht recently qualified for the U.S. Senior Amateur.
Likewise signed up is Robin Bradbury of Omni Interlocken Golf Club, who qualified for this year’s U.S. Senior Open.
Don Alley of Springs Ranch Golf Club, a two-time masters division winner in this event (2016 and ’17), also is in the field.
