4 Junior World qualifiers from Colorado also advance to Optimist Junior Golf Championship

Twenty-seven Colorado junior golfers qualified at Flatirons Golf Course in Boulder on Friday for the Optimist Junior Golf Championship that will be held next month in Miami.
Four of Friday’s qualifiers also earned spots earlier in the week in another big national junior tournament — the IMG Academy Junior World Championships. The four who doubled up in qualifying this week were Austin Barry of Fort Collins, Kaden Devenport of Fort Collins, Collen Todd of Golden and Hudson Stutzman of Denver.
The Optimist Junior tournaments are held in three phases in July in Miami:
— July 14-19: Boys 10-11 and 12-13 and girls 10-12
— July 19-24: Boys 14-15 and girls 13-14
— July 24-29: Boys 16-18 and girls 15-18
