The 2022 Season Kick-Off Silent Auction closed March 15th, 2022, the opening day of Colorado score posting, with a record-breaking $52,932 raised. Proceeds from the auction benefit various community programs through the CGA, including the Solich Caddie and Leadership Academy, Youth on Course, LPGA*USGA Girls Golf, Special Olympics and more. Last year’s silent auction raised $41,947, which was the highest total raised until this year.
The silent auction provides kids access to the game of golf across Colorado. Manager of Member and Sponsor Engagement Matthew Walker, who oversaw the auction, shares “In 2021, we supported over 50 caddies through the Solich Caddie and Leadership Academy, provided affordable rounds for over 3,500 Youth on Course members and introduced more than 2,000 kids through our community and wellness programs.”
Walker sends a sincere thank you to all Colorado courses and businesses who donated to the auction and the generous bidders that helped us exceed our goal! “Together, with your support, we provide kids of all ages with more opportunities to play and benefit from the game of golf.” The growth of the auction in recent years will only continue to grow junior access in the state.
