The 38th CGA Mid-Amateur Championship is underway from October 4th to 6th at The Fox Hill Club. With its rolling fairways and challenging greens, the course presents a true test for the competitors while also setting the stage for thrilling play. As the tournament unfolds, scores remain close, providing ample opportunity for any player to seize the lead. The championship features 54 holes of stroke play, with a 36-hole cut to the low 40 players and ties.

Day 2:

After a competitive second round at the 38th CGA Mid-Amateur, the field has been cut to +11, leaving the top 42 players and ties advancing to the final day. Esteban Missura (Highlands Ranch (DU) GC Associate Club) delivered a solid round, finishing at -2, while Joel Perez (Fox Hill Club), posted an impressive -4. Both players now sit tied for first with a two-day total of -3. Meanwhile, Matt Dugan and Charles Soule remain in contention, finishing tied for third (-2), keeping themselves near the top of the leaderboard as they were after the first round.

Day 1:

The first round of the 38th CGA Mid-Amateur Championship at The Fox Hill Club concluded with a thrilling start, as two players, Matt Dugan (Hiwan Golf Club) and Charles Soule (Columbine Country Club), find themselves tied at the top of the leaderboard. Both players posted impressive scores of 3-under-par (67).

Not far behind, Matthew Zions (Metro Denver e-club), Jason Browder (The Bridges Golf and Country Club), and Patrick Grady (Ranch Country Club) are tied for third place after finishing at 2-under-par (68). With scores so close, the tournament remains wide open heading into the weekend. The narrow gap between the leaders and the chasing pack ensures that the next two rounds will be filled with excitement and fierce competition.
