While three Colorado residents will see their U.S. Amateur stays end after the two rounds of stroke play are completed, three in-state college players still have chances to make match play at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.

Play was suspended for nearly four hours on Tuesday, meaning the stroke-play portion will continue into Wednesday. And while Connor Jones of Westminster (17 over par through 36 holes), TJ Shehee of Mead (18 over through 30 holes) and Sean Crowley of Columbine Valley (20 over through 36 holes) can’t advance, three players with strong Colorado ties still have an opportunity to make match play.

With the top 64 finishers in stroke play moving on, Colorado State University golfer Gunnar Broin is in 28th place (even par through 28 holes), the University of Colorado’s Adam Matteson is 53rd (2 over through 23 holes) and Jackson Solem of Longmont and the University of Denver is 85th (4 over through 30 holes).

The second round is scheduled to resume at 5:30 a.m. (MT) on Wednesday.

In all, 312 players are competing in the U.S. Amateur.

Here are the U.S. Amateur scores for all the players with strong Colorado ties:

28. CSU golfer Gunnar Broin of Chanhassen, Minn. 71-(-1) through 10—Even through 28 holes

53. CU golfer Adam Matteson of San Diego 72-Even through 5—+2 through 23 holes

85. DU golfer Jackson Solem of Longmont 72-+2 through 12—+4 through 30 holes
