The Essentials: TPC Colorado Championship at Heron Lakes

What: Third annual TPC Colorado Championship at Heron Lakes.

Where: TPC Colorado in Berthoud, 7,991 yards, Par-72, designed by Arthur Schaupeter and opened in 2016.

When: Wednesday practice rounds (Gates open 7 a.m.; close 5 p.m.); Thursday and Friday first two championship rounds (Gates open 6:30 a.m.; close 7:30 p.m.); Saturday and Sunday final two championship rounds (Gates open 6:30 a.m.; close 6 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 p.m. Sunday).

PGA Tour Winners in Field: David Duval (13 victories), Robert Allenby (4), Jonathan Kaye (2), Tommy Gainey (1) and Derek Ernst (1).

Players With Strong Colorado Ties in Field: Duval (Cherry Hills Village resident), Kaye (Denver native and part-time resident of Boulder), Tom Whitney (Air Force Academy graduate and former Fort Collins resident), Josh Creel (Cheyenne native who played golf at the University of Colorado before finishing up at Central Oklahoma), George Cunningham (Boulder County native), Andrew Svoboda (former Golden resident), Chris Korte (Highlands Ranch resident and former DU golfer).

Weekend Live-Streaming of Tournament: On Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day (MT), fans can access live-streamed coverage from TPC Colorado. The streaming is accessible on PGA Tour Live and GolfChannel.com. The first 2 1/2 hours each day will be dedicated to featured-hole coverage, and the rest to featured-group coverage. The featured hole on Saturday will be the picturesque par-3 16th, while on Sunday it will be the 773-yard 13th, the longest hole in PGA Tour-sanctioned golf.
